My deepest and sincerest condolences are extended to the family of the late Ms. Finney Washington whom we all affectionately knew as “Ms. Dada”. She was so very blessed to be among us for more than a century and shared so much wisdom and love to all who knew her. I know you will miss her since she has always been there for you. Her long journey is now over and she leaves a very big legacy behind. My prayer is that each of you continue to celebrate her marvelous life and be encouraged by her teachings. Know that she loved her family as no one else could but God loved her more. RIP Ms. Dada with all of your loved ones who has gone to Glory before you; especially my friend and your granddaughter, Mary Louise.

If Tears Could Build A Stairway

If tears could build a stairway
And memories were a lane
We would walk right up to Heaven
And bring you back again

No farewell words were spoken
No time to say goodbye
You were gone before we knew it
And only God knows why

Our hearts still ache in sadness
And secret tears still flow
What it meant to lose you
No on will ever know

But know we know you want us
To mourn for you no more
To remember all the happy times
Life still has much in store

Since you’ll never be forgotten
We pledge to you today
A hallowed place within our hearts
Is where you’ll always stay

Some people have a wonderful way of putting others at ease. They say and do the little things that will comfort and will please. Dada was that person to my children and all children. She had a special kind of warmth and was always understanding. On behalf of Ver'Shaughnessy, Stephfan, and Qui'Shaun, their world is better place and happier by far, because of their Great Grandmother Dada.

My darling, Dada. I have always loved you and that will never change because you are no longer with us. How wonderful that you had such a blessed life with so many caring for and loving you, including me. So, you will join other family members in heaven and you will continue to take care of them just as you did on Earth. Slumber in the warmth of God's welcoming arms. I will miss you.

Buck, Helen, Angie, and the rest of the family, I am thinking of all of you and send my love and comfort.
