Faye Young Obituary

Faye Young COTTAGEVILLE - Mrs. Faye Howell Griffith Young, wife of Robert "Bobby" Young, died Monday evening at Colleton Medical Center. She was 65. Mrs. Young was born in Colleton County September 8, 1945, a daughter of Lillian Floyd Griffith and the late Madison Howell Griffith. She was a retired accountant with the U.S. Postal Service in Summerville, and was a member of the Cottageville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Young was a devoted wife and mother, but will be remembered best as a loving grandmother, always putting the needs and wants of her grandchildren above her own. In addition to her mother and her husband, she is survived by two sons, Rob Young and his wife Kristy, of Hollywood and Kevin Young and his wife Tina of Cottageville. Her four grandchildren are Hallie, Payton, Keefer, and Elliot Young. She also leaves behind a sister, Jeannette Griffith Nepivoda and her husband Tony, of Summerville. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, at 2:00 p.m., in the Cottageville United Methodist Church with burial following in the Cottageville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Cottageville United Methodist Church and online condolences may be left for the family at parkerrhodenfuneralhome.com.
