Faye Wimberly Obituary

Faye Creel Wimberly St. George, SC - Faye Creel Wimberly, 80, widow of J.W. Wimberly, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Reverend Steve Mims and Reverend Jakie Walters officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Wimberly, Zachary Wimberly, Dale Kizer, Robbie McAlhaney, Tony McAlhaney and Joseph "Phinney" Rickborn. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George. Faye was born on August 25, 1935 in Grover, a daughter of the late Willie Shuler Creel, Hazel Westbury Creel Kelly and James J. Kelly. She was former co-owner with her husband of Wimberly Dry Cleaners and attended St. George High School. She was an active member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she was a member of the Lady Bells Missionary Group, Ladies Senior Adult Sunday School Class and church choir. She loved sewing, baking and camping. She was predeceased by siblings, Annie Lou C. Taylor, John Wesley Creel and her son-in-law, Roger Dale Kizer, Sr. Surviving is a son, Julius W. (Debra) Wimberly, Jr.; a daughter, Wanda W. Kizer; grandchildren; Leslie (Robbie) McAlhaney, all of St. George, Dale (Samantha) Kizer, Walterboro, Brandon (Oneta) Wimberly, Zachary Wimberly (Taylor Hall), all of St. George; great-grandchildren; Ashley Goettee, Evan Kizer, Tanner Kizer, all of Walterboro and Jace McAlhaney, St. George; a sister-in-law Clara W. Graham, Orangeburg, a brother, Gene (Rosie) Creel, Covina CA and special friends, Lynette Hartzog, Carolyn Hilton, Judy McAlhany and Doris Ott. Memorials may be made to Mt.
