Exsey Bell Obituary

Exsey Bell N. CHARLESTON - Exsey Vidia Iris Bell was born July 31, 1953 in Charleston, South Carolina to the late James E. and Dida Mansfield Bell. The eleventh child born to the loving union. She was educated in the public schools of Charleston County. On February 24, 2025, Exsey left this earthly life for eternal glory to join her parents, three sisters (Daisy B. Brockington, Bertha B. Felder and Eva M. B. Rush) and four brothers (France Bell, James E. Bell, Jr.; Gregory T. Bell, and France Avery Bell). She leaves to cherish her memory, three sisters: Mrs. Mattie B.R. Hull, Dr. Katie B. Catalon, and Mrs. L. Carmen B. Murph (Melvin); a sister-in-law, Mrs. Margaret V. Bell; nieces and nephews: Mrs. Regenia C. Guest (Johnny), Dr. James E. Brockington, Jr. (CDR USN Ret. - Wanda), Ms. Dida Nesmith, Mrs. Thuane B. Fielding (Mark), Mrs. Enid B. McClam (Carlton), Mr. James E. Bell, III, Mr. Troy A. Bell (Trevis), Mr. Trojan L. Bell (Maryann), Mrs. Lindsey M. Washington (Eric), CDR Mansfield C. Murph USN, and Jasmine Bell; grandnieces and grandnephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. The Home going Service will take place on Monday. March 3, 2025, 11:00 AM, at Charity Missionary Baptist Church, 1544 E. Montague Ave., N. Charleston, SC. She will be laid to rest in Rivervew Memorial Park Cemetery. The Walk Thru will take place on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at the funeral home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
