Evon Davis Obituary
Decatur
Funeral for Evon "Yvonne" Davis, 89, of Decatur will be Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Don Haas and Pastor Mike Green officiating. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home.
Mrs. Davis, who died Friday, June 4, 2010, was born November 8, 1920, in Crandall, Ga., to Morgan and Ida Dalton. She was a member of the Decatur Garden Club, Thursday Morning Bridge Club, Women's Golf Association, Presbyterian Women of the Church, Eastern Star and the Decatur Country Club. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Davis.
She is survived by one son, Michael Davis of Decatur; three grandchildren, Michelle Baker (John) of Gladstone, Mo., Mike Davis (Julie) of Hartselle and Tiffany Hart (Dustin) of Clayton, Ind.; and seven great-grandchildren, Ben, Joshua, Caleb and Luke Baker, Dalton and Hank Davis and Davis Hart.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Community Free Clinic of Decatur, 245, Jackson Street SE, Decatur, AL 35601.

Dear Mickey and family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Evon's passing. My childhood memories of your mom and dad's visits are so dear to me, as well as, your visits with the children. Dad and Evon still talked from time to time and my sister Alicia and I talked about coming to visit your mom to get info on the family history. Now that opportunity has passed and your mother is enjoying the rewards of heaven.

We were saddened to hear of Aunt Yvonne's passing. I can still hear her voice and that contagious laughter was one of a kind. We loved her as we do all of you. May her memory bring you comfort and a smile to your hearts. We love you. Jack, Rosine, Cathy & Blake
