DANIEL, Evelyn COLUMBIA - Graveside service for Evelyn Halprin Daniel, 86, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Hebrew Benevolent Society Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Evelyn and Dan Daniel Tree of Life Youth Fund, 6719 N. Trenholm Rd., Columbia, S.C. 29206; S.C. Heart Association, P.O. Box 6604, Columbia, S.C. 29260; or to a charity of one's choice. DUNBAR FUNERAL HOME, DEVINE STREET CHAPEL, is assisting the family. Mrs. Daniel, wife of the late Charles Bernard Dan Daniel, died Friday, October 27, 2006. Born in Ft. Valley, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Anna Chaves Halprin. A graduate of Brenau College in Gainesville, Ga. with a degree in Drama, she loved theatre and supported the cultural arts. She was involved with the Columbia Museum as well as Riverbanks Zoo. She volunteered with the S.C. Heart Center where she made many close friends. She enjoyed traveling and dining out. Mrs. Daniel was a member of Tree of Life Congregation where she was president of the Sisterhood and member of Hadassah. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Sanford H. Daniel and Dr Beverly W. Daniel of Columbia; daughter and son-in-law, Susan D. and Charles S. Altman of Charleston; grandchildren, David M. Altman, Hannah R. Daniel and Zachary S.
