Eva Jones Obituary
JONES, Eva The relatives and friends of Mrs. Eva Louise Jones "Tot," 62, and those of her husband, Mr. Frederick Carlos Jones, Sr. are invited to attend her funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2005 in Jerusalem Baptist Church, 684 Rutledge Ave., Rev. William A. Salley is the pastor, Rev. William Tindal, officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Viewing for Mrs. Jones will be 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the church. The Christian Wake will begin at 7:00 p.m. She is survived by her beloved husband, Mr. Frederick Carlos Jones, Sr.; beloved mother, Mrs. Margaret Smalls; beloved sons and daughters, Mr. Frederick Jones, Jr. (Gena), Tonya Clark (Kemuel), Shermon Jones (Tina), and Charles James (Myra); six grandchildren; sisters, Linda Gadsden (Rodney), Paulette Hood (Bobby), and Clara Phillips (Frank); brothers-in-law Vincent Jones (Carol) and William Matthews; aunts and uncle, Amelia Washington, Rosalie Williams, and Alec Smalls; other relatives and friends. To the family of Eva Jones, She was a dermatology patient of ours here at MUSC. I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the family. She was my favorite patient, loving, kind and always upbeat. She came into the office many days in pain, but, she always had a smile on her face. I will never forget her. Just being with her made me have an upbeat attitude . She will surely be missed by all of our staff. God bless everyone and just keep the memories of her in your heart and she will live on forever.

My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. I did not have the pleasure of meeting your mother, but, she raised her son to be a fine man and I believe she was very proud of you. Your character is a direct reflection of what type of person she was, so I feel like I know her through you.
