Eugene Leon St. Marie LONG ISLAND, NY - Eugene Leon St. Marie, passed away on December 18, 2009 in Long Island, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, December 23, 2009 in Christ Our King Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. ARRANGEMENTS BY J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. Mr. St. Marie was born October 20, 1936 in Fall River, MA, son of Eugene R. St. Marie and Blanche St. Marie. He started his career at J. M. Fields as a Stock Boy in Fall River, MA in 1954 and worked his way up to District Manager until 1978. He retired as Operating Vice President/District Manager for Caldor, Inc. After retirement, he moved to Long Island, NY. He was a life long member of the Catholic Church, avid golfer and artist. Surviving are his wife of twenty-nine years, Evelyn St. Marie; and children from his first marriage, Sue Likes, Michele Proveaux, Diane Rice, Eugene L. St. Marie, Jr., Karen St. Marie; and eleven grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406.
