Eugene Jacobs Obituary

JACOBS, Eugene Eugene Allen Jacobs, 74, of Moncks Corner, the husband of Caroline Mahler Jacobs, died Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at his home. Born April 21, 1930 in Easton, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Michael and Mable Jacobs. Mr. Jacobs was retired from the US Navy having served 20 years as a submariner and he also retired after 20 years from the Charleston Naval Shipyard as a machinist. He was a member of the Sunrise Christian Church and the Fleet Reserve. He is survived by his wife, Caroline, son: Stephen Jacobs of Goose Creek; daughter: Carol Herndon of Summerville; two brothers: Richard Jacobs of Mechanicsburg, PA and Donald Jacobs of Felton, DE; sister: Carolyn Royer of Reading, PA; four grandchildren: Jeremy Jacobs, Max Jacobs, Kimberly Herndon and Cortney Herndon; one great-granddaughter: Taylor Herndon. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 100 S. Goose Creek Blvd., (Hwy 52) Goose Creek. The funeral service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 in the chapel of McAlister-Smith Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens, Hwy 17A, Moncks Corner. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the account of Carolina F. Jacobs at any Bank of American Branch. Condolences may be sent via www.mcalister-smith.com.
