Ethel Wilson Obituary

Ethel Cleveland Wilson Charleston - Ethel Cleveland Wilson, 93, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Robert Kenneth Wilson, entered into eternal rest Saturday, July 16, 2022. A graveside funeral service will be held at a later date in Carolina Memorial Park. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel. Ethel was born March 5, 1929, in Arkansas City, Kansas, daughter of the late Glenn E. Cleveland and Jewel McDonald Cleveland. She was a graduate of Chicora High School, served as a substitute teacher at Remount Road Elementary School, and became a receptionist for Dr. Charles Banov until retirement. She was a life member of Park Circle Presbyterian Church. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to Home Instead's caregiver Debra Bell and Lutheran Hospice. Ethel is survived by her two daughters: Bobbie Jean W. Blackwell (Ed) of Hanahan, SC, and Glenda W. Gillette of Charleston, SC; three grandchildren: Sarah B. Morros (Thomas Wallace), Robert G. Blackwell (Sarah Nell), and Alan R. Blackwell (Jessica); and four great-grandchildren: Blake Aaron Morros, Rilee Cooper Morros, Laney Jean Morros, and Madeleine Avery Blackwell. Additional family in Blanchard, Oklahoma, includes Dorothy Bridwell, Martha Ann Tivis, and Chris Renee Stewart (Randy). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The Village at Summerville, 201 W. 9th North Street, Summerville, SC 29483 or The Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406, or a charity of one's choice.
