Ethel Sinclair Obituary

SINCLAIR, Ethel VARNVILLE - Mrs. Ethel McAlhaney Sinclair, 89, of 2432 Rock Spring Road in Varnville, died Tuesday morning, November 8, 2005, at the Harper Nursing Center in Estill. Funeral services will be held 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon, November 10, 2005, from the graveside in Smith Cemetery in Varnville. Mrs. Sinclair was born April 16, 1916, in Hampton County and was a daughter of the late Newton C. McAlhaney and the late Bernie Chassereau McAlhaney. She was a member of First Hopewell Baptist Church and was the widow of Mr. Geddis B. Sinclair, Sr. She will always be remembered for her love of birds and gardening. Surviving are: three sons, Charles Sinclair of Varnville, Jerry Sinclair and his wife Elizabeth of Hazelhurst, Georgia, and Geddis "Bert" Sinclair, Jr., of Varnville. There is one grandchild Amy Elizabeth Blumensaadt of Suwanee, Georgia. She was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Williard Sinclair and a daughter Miriam Sinclair Gatch. Family and friends are invited to call at the residence from 3 o'clock Wednesday until prior to services on Thursday, when the casket will be placed at the cemetery. Arrangements by: THE BRICE W.
