Dear Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of sadness. Most of you know that Ms.Ethel was like an aunt to me and my Mom's best friend. We met her at Sandpiper Nursing Home 5 yrs ago when Mom became a resident. She immediately became friends with my Mom and myself and they were together every day until she went into the hospital . She was an amazing woman that touched my heart as well as my Mother's. I loved her so much as I know she loved us! It's gonna be hard visiting my mom & aunt and not Ms. Ethel at the table with them. I filed and painted her fingernails right along with my Mom & Aunts. She loved this and it made me happy to see her enjoy this as she would show the other residents ! She was a very sweet , loving and caring lady! I would take her, my Mom and aunt outside and sit with them for an hour or two. They enjoyed this as they laughed and Ms.Ethel told me stories that would make my sadness turn into laughter as well on a bad day! I know that she was ready to go as she told me many times ! So, take comfort in knowing that she is now much happier without the pain and is at peace like she wanted. On behalf of my family and myself, thank ya'll for the kindness that you have shown my mother as well and allowing us to spend our time with her. I truly feel blessed to have known such a wonderful lady! RIP Ms. Ethel until we meet again!
