A model of Inspiration and Beauty; she fulfilled her God-given potential and her humanity was felt by all she touched. She made a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Hers was a life well spent, and her presence will be missed. We send love to the family as they move forward without her physical presence, although we know that her spirit will dwell with them, and us, forever. Jerome and Dr. Yvonne J. Barnes

Mrs. Davis was my principal when I started kindergarten in the fall of 1976! Today, I'm 48 years old and I am honored to have had such a positive role model in my life as an educator. A person of color that has left a lasting positive impression on our community. We must pick up the torch and continue the the work that Mrs. Davis has started. Mrs. Davis, will be missed by her natural family as well as the family that she created through her love, support, and dedication as an educator!
