Esther Elizabeth Floyd Tennes GOOSE CREEK - Esther Elizabeth Floyd Tennes, 85, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, wife of the late Paul L. Tennes, entered into eternal rest Friday, June 23, 2023. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 30, 2023 in the Deer Park Baptist Church, 8875 University Blvd. at 11:30 am. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel. Esther was born February 5, 1938 in Olanta, South Carolina, daughter of the late David Benjamin Floyd and the late Elizabeth Morris Floyd. She loved cross stitching, gardening, canning, sewing Charleston quilts and shag dancing. Esther was a former member of Daughters of the Nile. She is survived by son, Paul David Tennes of Goose Creek, SC; daughter-in-law, Arleen Tennes, three grandchildren, Cory Tennes of Goose Creek, SC, Brandon Tennes (Ginny) of Andrews, SC, and Ashley Tennes (Bradley Strode) of Summerville, SC; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Rae Motte of Goose Creek, SC; brothers, Charles Floyd (Linda) of Mt. Pleasant and Alton Floyd (Sybil) of Summerville and many nieces. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by son, James "Jimmy" Willson Tennes Flowers will be accepted.
