To all of Mrs. Ussery's family:
You have a wonderful legacy in her life. She was a woman who loved her Savior and consistently looked to the needs of others. Joe and I consider it a privilege to have known her over many years--as pastor's wife and friend of our family. She was a help and encouragement to Joe's parents, she wrote to us each Christmas when we served in Israel, and most recently I was delighted to visit with her in the exercise room at the Mt. Pleasant Senior Center. She modeled the gentle, contented spirit of one who walked faithfully with Christ. May God deeply comfort you with cherished memories and hope in His promises.

Nancy and I are deeply saddened and surprised at Esma's sudden passing. She was one of our surviving, family anchors. We also just lost Dolly Shelton ( Esma's sister-in-law through her brother Baker). Esma and her husband Dean were very precious and loving individuals and we will always remember them. The Shelton family in California are united in our prayers for our family at this time. We love you Esama.....

I will always remember my Aunt Esma as one of the kindest people I have known. She always had a smile on her face, and the Love of God in her heart.
I loved to come and visit, she would make me Ice Tea, and a snack. I will miss her, but rejoice that today she is with Jesus!, her parents pictured above, her husband and her sister, my mother Ann Horney.

Dear family of Esma, we are so sorry and will miss Esma. But I am sure there was shouting in heaven Wednesday night when she was united with her husband. No more pain. She was a wonderful Sunday School teacher and such a blessing just knowing her. We enjoyed having her in our home to eat and visit several times. Also was blessing to be able to take her food and visit in her home during her illness. I know you count it a blessing to have a wonderful Mother.
