DOUGLAS, JR., Ervin Ervin Douglas, Jr., 64, of Round O, SC, husband of Joyce Fipps Douglas, died Wednesday, September 03, 2008, at Colleton County Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday morning, September 8, 2008, at PARKS FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL at eleven o'clock. Burial will be private. Friends may call at PARKS FUNERAL HOME Sunday evening from six until eight o'clock. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2711 Middleburg Drive, Suite 110, Columbia, SC 29204 or the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Boulevard, Rockville, MD 20852. Mr. Douglas was born October 21, 1943 in Berkeley County, SC, a son of Ervin Douglas, Sr., and Margie Singletary Douglas. He was retired as a pump mechanic for Charleston Public Works. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps, a member of the Summerville Masonic Lodge #234, an avid deer hunter and was devoted to his family, children and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Douglas of Round O; his mother, Margie Douglas of Summerville, SC; three sons, Kurt Douglas and Shane Douglas both of Round O and John Douglas of Summerville; two daughters, Donna Martin of Walterboro and Nancy Zaccagnini of MI; three sisters, Elaine Williams, Lillian Funk and Brenda Jones, all of Summerville; one brother, Tommy Douglas of Summerville; and nine grandchildren, Dana Jacobs, Tristen Douglas, Savannah Douglas, Victoria Douglas, Shane Douglas, Jr., Travis Douglas, Justin Douglas, Trey Martin and Jacob Lawson.
