Hey Ernie,
I am truly sorry for your loss. Having been through this myself last summer, I know what you’re going through. Feel comfort in knowing that you were a great son and took good care of your Dad. I’m here if you need someone to talk to. You have my most heartfelt sympathy.

Joanne, my heartfelt sondolences to you anf your children. Ernie was a lovely man, and I miss seeing him and you, our former Creekside neighbors. Eddie himself is now gravely ill in a nursing facility in Greenville, but I know he will be as sad as I at Ernie's passing.. God bless you and yours.

Joanne, Sandy and Kelly:
As you all know ,Ernie was a very dear and special friend. We have been friends since the day we first met at the Citadel in August 1974. He and I took every single class together in the graduate program and graduated the same day. Your family embraced me (A northerner) from the moment I arrived in Charleaston--I have many fond memories of our time together-studying,playing tennis, sailing and most of all learning wisdom and compassion from Ernie. As fellow Veterans, we shared a love for our country and as fellow Catholic worshipers-our love for God and family. I will miss our conversations and his love for life.
