Ernesto Fortin Obituary

FORTIN, Ernesto Ernesto Mendoza Fortin, 67, US Navy Veteran of Goose Creek, SC, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2005 after a long battle with cancer. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 21, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445. Interment to follow at Carolina Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2005 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with rosary at 7:30 p.m. in Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. Survivors include his wife, Heroina P. Fortin of Goose Creek, SC; son, Nader Anthony Fortin and his wife, Lisa of Goose Creek, SC; granddaughters, Ali and Madison Fortin; brothers, Willie Fortin and his wife, Pita of Canada; sisters, Tita McDonald and her husband Gary, Corazon Adamusco and her husband Joseph of Subic Bay, Philippines. Also included are nieces, Nadea Caulfeild and her husband John, Arlyn Fortin, Cecilia Sequierira and her husband Jamie, Tina Fortin, Glenda Fortin, Sabrina Paner; nephew, Freddy Paner; grandniece, Julia; grandnephews, Stiles, Shane, Ryan, Robert, Eric, and Leif. Mr. Fortin was born on June 12, 1937. He was the son of Isidro Fortinand Arsenia Mendoza Fortin. He was retired from the US Navy in 1979 after 20 years of service.
