HEYWARD, Ernestine The relatives and friends of Mrs. Ernestine Heyward are invited to attend her Memorial services on Friday, August 15, 2008 at 7 p.m. in Green Chapel Baptist Church, 36 Poinsett St., Chas., SC; Rev. Melonard Bennett, Pastor. Mrs. Heyward leaves to cherish her memories one son, one daughter, two sisters, grandchildren, family and friends. I was saddened to hear of Ernestine's passing. She was such a wonderful part of our lives for many years and helped raise my 4 sons.A kind of second mom to my boys, she spoiled us all with her warm personality, her great cooking and her love for our family. She shared many happy events with us, birthdays, graduations and special surprises for us. She was a wonderful person and meant so much to us. We loved her dearly.
I was so blessed to have spoken with her by phone several weeks ago and it was great remembering past events as we talked. I'm so glad I have that memory.
