Ernest Prosser Obituary

Ernest William Prosser, III KINGSTREE, SC - Ernest William Prosser, III, 54, died Friday, October 30, 2009, at his residence. Mr. Prosser was born October 26, 1955, in Williamsburg County, a son of Anne Phillips Prosser and the late Ernest W. Prosser, Jr. He graduated from Williamsburg Academy and Williamsburg Technical College with a degree in Civil Engineering. Ernest was a farmer and a pilot with commercial, instrument and multi-engine ratings. He was a member of Cedar Swamp United Methodist Church and was an avid outdoorsman. Surviving in addition to his mother, Anne P. Prosser of Surfside Beach are: his wife, Betsy Prosser; two sons, Ernest W. Prosser, IV (Jamie) of Lake City and Coker Briggs Prosser (Sonya) of Lynchburg, VA; one daughter, Elizabeth P. Powell of Surfside Beach; twp sisters, Bebe Beasley of Bishopville and Chan Murphree of Surfside Beach; three grandchildren, Brianna Powell, Chloe Prosser, and Tyler Prosser. Graveside funeral services will be held, at 11 a.m., Monday, in Cedar Swamp United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends, from 5 to 7, Sunday evening, at WILLIAMSBURG FUNERAL HOME. Memorials may be made to Cedar Swamp United Methodist Church.
