Dear Faye, Jo, Angie, Wesley, Bob, Kenny, Sondra and Gary,

I am deeply saddened for each of you because of the passing of your beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Knowing that Ernie John is now free of pain, worry, or stress is small comfort when his loss is so painful in your hearts. He will be missed by many, although shared grief does not make your sorrow any easier to bear. Our earthly bodies are only temporary shelters for our eternal souls. Ernie’s soul is now free to soar like an eagle as he experiences the joy of everlasting peace and love. The spirit of Ernie will live on in our hearts forever. He was a good man who lived his life with integrity and an innate sense of decency. He worked hard and was always willing to go that extra mile to do what he believed was right. His living legacy on earth is his loving family and his abundance of friends who cared deeply for him. Ernie was a special man and it was an honor to have known him as a friend.

With love and prayers,

John, you were so very special. I look back and see so many things that you were: husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, grandson, cousin, cabinet maker, neighbor, friend and, last but not least, my nephew.

What a shining star you were with your laughter, caring and love. That special light shined on everyone, including me. I admired your courage, constant positive attitude and will to live during your battle with cancer. And, even during that time of struggle you continued to think of others and kept your sense of humor.

I will always treasure those special times spent with you..when you were a child and as the fine gentleman you became. I will deeply miss you.

We will pray that God will be with Jo, Angie and Wesley during this time.

Love,

Aunt Joanne

I had the leasure of knowing Ernie as a customer since 1992 and give him honor as always being a man of his word & a loyal friend to many.

The last time I saw him was a the funeral of a mutual friend Wayne Sexton. We laughed because I did now reconize him without his hat!

My prayers are with his family & friends all over our community...

I, like my brother's family, share in the great sense of loss of a good man. John had a big heart and his family was always, always, the main part of his life. He worked long hours to be the successful businessman he had become while overcoming life's bumps and hurdles.

He thoroughly enjoyed those rare opportunites to unwind and relax at the lake and get in some fishing. I suspect that his Grandkids were his biggest joy late in his life - as he was theirs.

Pat and I will miss him and only regret that, over the years, we couldn't have spent more time together after we moved away in 1973. He would have loved the beautiful Pacific Northwest...

His ardent and often painful struggle with cancer never deminished his will to live nor diminished his sense of humor.

To the end, John was a brother to be proud of. I'll remember him as a man of character and substance who freely gave of himself to family and friends in pursuit of a meanigful life. Congratulations, John, you made it.

I love you. You will be missed.

Your brother,

Bob

Jo, Angie and Wesley,

Ernie was a good man that I will always remember with good thoughts. I'm sorry that he had to go through so much. You all have been in my prayers ever since I heard of the cancer. I hope that God will give you the strength to get through these times.
