I used to cut Earnie's hair for years....I loved him so, I just ran across one of the many recipes that he shared with me..Cranberry Chutney...many of his were always printed in the paper. Earnie always had the best stories!! He was an amazing person...with a spunky zest and great sense of humor for life... Last time I saw him was at Walgreens and we had the best visit... he was one of a kind for sure!! Rest in peace, and your legacy will live on for many years to come...

Will miss his quick wit and even quicker smile. Enjoyed sharing a drink with him and seeing him at Mass. A good one has gone.

Ernie was a good friend to my husband and to me. My husband spent many hours at the garden area toiling away and shouting jibes back and forth with Ernie. We enjoyed delicious dinners at his lovely home. He taught me to make beautiful Christmas bows. When my youngest nephew was beginning to interview after graduating, Ernie said, “Buy him an interview suit”. I took Slade to Brook Brothers and a kind salesman took us in hand. Mission accomplished. We believe that advice helped. Slade got a great job. What a great friend we had in Ernie.
