Eric Scott Bullington ELGIN, SC - Eric Scott Bullington, beloved husband and father, son and brother, grandson and nephew, cousin, and friend, of Elgin, SC, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Eric was born December 1, 1973, in Pearisburg, VA, and spent his childhood in Rock Hill, SC, and Hartsville, SC, before settling in the Columbia area. Eric earned his undergraduate degree in French from the College of Charleston and graduate degree in Public Health from Tulane University. He had a passion for travel and a gift for languages. He spent a year in France as an exchange student and traveled to other regions, including Morocco and Turkey. His keen language skills and his background in public health carried over into a career in medical translations. He most recently developed an interest in Coding and worked as a Software Developer. Eric loved his family dearly and treasured the time he spent with his two children. Eric is survived by his wife, Kirstin Olson Bullington; his daughter, Rowan; and his son, Darwin, all of Elgin, SC; his parents, Michael W. and Carole H. Bullington of Blythewood; mother-in-law, Heather Olson-Bunnell of Roanoke, and father-in-law Daniel Olson of Merrillville, IN; brother and sister-in-law: Erik and Orrapan Olson of Roanoke, IN; his aunts and uncles: Charles and Sandy Hardin of Asheboro, NC; Jim and Bonnie Hardin of Spartanburg, SC; Mark and Cindy Tucker of Marshall, NC; and David and Vickie Bullington of Spartanburg, SC; his cousins: Jason and Karen Hardin of Raleigh, NC; Chad and Erin Hardin of Charleston, SC; Jennifer and Daniel Nicholson of Simpsonville, SC; Zack and Shelby Dolman of Boiling Springs, SC; Sarah Tucker of Marshall, NC; Baillie Hardin of Boiling Springs, SC; Charles and Wendy Bullington of Hanahan, SC; Matthew and Meridith Fischer of Moore, SC; and a nephew, Harvey Olson, of Roanoke, IN. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Charles H. and Doris M. Bullington of Spartanburg, SC; his maternal grandparents, Charles V. and Ernestine L. Hardin of White Plains, SC; his sister, Lisa Nicole Bullington; and uncle, Richard L. Hardin of White Plains, SC. The family will receive visitors from 6:30pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday, November 9, at Kornegay & Moseley Funeral Home, located at 4645 Hard Scrabble Road, Columbia, SC. The graveside service and interment will take place on Wednesday, November 10, 1:00pm at Green Hills Cemetery, located on 25 New Leicester Highway, Asheville, NC.
