Enid Hollingsworth Obituary

HOLLINGSWORTH, Enid Enid Francile Aunger Hollingsworth, 86, wife of James M. Hollingsworth of Mt. Pleasant, SC entered into eternal rest March 30, 2007 at her residence. The funeral service for Enid Hollingsworth will be Tuesday, April 3, 2007 in Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church at 11 o'clock. Entombment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL on Monday, April 2, 2007 from 6:00 to 8 o'clock. Mrs. Hollingsworth was born August 12, 1920, in Wesby, MT, daughter of the late Charles W. and Ruth Aunger. A U.S. Navy veteran following WWII, she retired from the Charleston Air Force Base as a Secretary to the Base Commander. Mrs. Hollingsworth was a member of Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her husband, James M. Hollingsworth of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two sons, James W. Hollingsworth of Columbia, SC and William S. Hollingsworth of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three grandchildren, Wes Hollingsworth, Lindsey Hollingsworth and Will Hollingsworth. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605 or Winyah Community Hospice Care, 4055 Faber Place Drive, Suite 212, North Charleston, SC 29405. Bill,

Sorry to hear about your mother. My mother served in the Navy also, but actually joined during WWII.

I have always agreed with Tom Brokaw that this was our "Greatest Generation".

I trust that you have many fond memories of your mother to help you through this difficult time.
