Emma Choate Obituary

Emma Louise Choate Summerville - Emma Louise Choate, 82, of Summerville, wife of the late Robert N. Choate, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at her residence. A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 2 o'clock until hour of service at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 3 o'clock. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Special Olympics North Carolina, 2200 Gateway Centre Blvd. Ste 201, Morrisville, NC 27560. Emma Louise was born March 23, 1936 in Statesboro, GA, daughter of the late Samuel and Kathleen Rushing. She received her Bachelors of Education from Georgia Southern University. She was the owner and operator of Granny's Attic Antiques on Trolley Road in Summerville. Survivors include: three daughters: Carol Louise Choate of Wilson, NC, Janet Lynn Presson of Waynesville, NC, and Linda Choate Jamison of Summerville; two grandchildren: Robert Presson of Waynesville, NC and Heather Jamison of Summerville; one brother: Talmadge Rushing (Shirley) of Tallahassee, FL.
