"Take a moment to reflect on any burdens weighing you down. Breathe out the heaviness of your struggles, and breathe in the assurance that God hears your cries. Trust that He is near, ready to lift you out of the depths and into His peace and light."

Tonight's psalm speaks to those moments when we feel overwhelmed, lost, or at our lowest. It reminds us that in the depths of despair, we can cry out to the Lord, and He hears us. God is not distant from our struggles; He meets us in the depths, offering His comfort and hope.

With broken heart and steadfast faith I say so long to my best friend. We were together for almost 50 years as teenagers when we joined the Charleston Police Department. Emery is the only person I´ve never had an argument or strong words with. He is forever entrenched in our memories. To the Gathers family, we always knew he was special. Now he has earned his wings and left us to get right with God so we may have a chance to see him again. He is a friend like no other and will see us thru this difficult time.
