Red has been a friend for many years.
We shared our faith in God, our love for Clemson and engineering backgrounds. He was as humble as they come and I am thankful for the many years that I have known him and his family. You will be missed by many. Thank you Red for being a man of integrity and faith and I am honored to have known you.

This is a great loss to me. I was in Sunday school with Red as a teenagers. I was a classmate with him at Clemson ,worked at the shipyard with him,and worshiped at church with him. I'll see you there Red.

I remember 'Red' as a good guy and easy to talk to. He was on the panel that selected me for the Head of Quality Control. I've always been grateful to him for that. God Bless.

It has been so many years and yet, the memories are vivid. Newly wed, moving to Charleston so my husband, John, could start his job working for Mr. Rice, a strong, intelligent mentor. Then a new connection. son Mark had a baby daughter, Melissa, and I got to be their nurse through the pregnancy, Lamaze, and delivery. I will never forget the kind and thoughtful call I got from Mr. Rice after Melissa's birth. I send my heartfelt condolences to all the family and pray that memories shared will offer some comfort.

Saddened to hear of Red's passing. Great manager and highly respected throughout the entire shipyard. May GOD bless and comfort all the family.
