Elmer Ronald Muckenfuss RIDGEVILLE, SC - Elmer Ronald Muckenfuss, 73, entered Heaven on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at his home. Elmer was born to the late George "Palmer" Muckenfuss and Emma "Lois" Fender Muckenfuss on April 11, 1949 in Ridgeville, SC. He attended and graduated from Harleyville-Ridgeville High School in Dorchester, SC. He is preceded in passing by his, father, Palmer Muckenfuss, mother, Lois Muckenfuss, sister, Emily Muckenfuss Spell, brother, Phil Muckenfuss, brother, C.W. Muckenfuss, and, sister, Mae Muckenfuss Hutto, sister, Anita Muckenfuss Bailey, sister, Georgia Muckenfuss Walters, sister, Arline Muckenfuss Bryant, and nephew, George Arthur Bryant (Buddy). He is survived by five siblings: Grace Spell, Jane Muckenfuss Herndon, Rhett Muckenfuss, Pam Muckenfuss Tuttle (Bobby), and Wallace Muckenfuss (Carol). His family and friends will remember his love for everyone, he always had a smile, and a quick laugh that was infectious. He was very close to his nieces and nephews and was always available to spend time with them doing various activities, talking on the phone, or a simple text message. Elmer loved being outdoors and always had a sport or activity to enjoy. He was an avid golfer, who enjoyed practicing and playing with friends and family. In addition to golf, he liked playing tennis, and like most things he did, he was very good. In his younger days, he could be found on the Edisto River water skiing, or fishing which was something he did with frequently. Elmer also enjoyed traveling with friends and family to old and new places. He loved his country and served for years in the 941st transportation unit under command of the US Army. He had a successful and long-term career in manufacturing at Robert Bosch in Charleston, SC until his retirement in 2014. He will be missed by all who know him, and we have hope that is found through Jesus Christ that we will see him again! The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 23, 2023 10:00AM until 11:00 AM, following with a chapel service at 11:00AM at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, 303 S. Main Street, Summerville, SC. Immediately following the chapel service will be a graveside service at Cummings Chapel Cemetery in Ridgeville, SC. Flowers will be accepted by James A.
