Elliott Wardlaw Obituary

WARDLAW, Elliott Entered into eternal rest on the evening of August 21, 2007, William Elliott Wardlaw, husband of Louisa (Pat) Geer Wardlaw. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. William Elliott Wardlaw are invited to attend the funeral services of the former, Friday, August 24, 2007 at eleven o'clock in St. Philip's Episcopal Church. Interment, Churchyard. Mr. Wardlaw was born January 15, 1931 in Columbia, SC, the son of Albert Lee Wardlaw and Leila Sams Elliott Wardlaw. He received his B.S. Degree in Economics at the University of South Carolina and served in the United States Air Force. He retired as a Stock Broker. Mr. Wardlaw was a member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church, the St. Andrew's Society, Carolina Yacht Club, Centurion Club, The Society of Colonial Wars, and Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He was a past member of Sertoma and Charleston Club. He is survived by his wife of Charleston SC; one daughter: Felicia W. Sperr and her husband Pete of Charleston, SC; one son: E. Stuart Wardlaw and his wife Wendy of Charlotte, NC; one brother: Albert Lee (Pete) Wardlaw and his wife Sandra of Columbia, SC; four grandchildren: Louisa Chisolm Sperr, John Elliott Sperr, Stephen Elliott Wardlaw and Elizabeth Leigh Wardlaw. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Charleston, Inc., 3870 Leeds Ave., Suite 101, North Charleston, SC 29405 or St. Philip's Episcopal Church, Acolyte Fund, 142 Church Street, Charleston, SC 29401. Elliott; I always considered a good friend and will miss you a great deal. I will always remember our trip to Florida and the time spent at your place in the country. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
