ELLEN THEK Obituary

Ellen Kelly Thek SUMMERVILLE - Ellen Kelly Thek, 99, born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and formerly of Pompton Plains, N.J., passed away on March 12, 2015 at the Village of Summerville. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Joseph and daughter, Marianne also preceding her were five siblings and son-in-law, John Edwards. Four surviving children and spouses are Richard and Regina Thek of Williamsburg, VA., Suellen Edwards of Summerville, John and Yoko Thek of Tokyo, Japan, Joseph and Cathy Thek of The Villages, FL, grandchildren number eight with eleven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Thek enjoyed working as a Nursery School Assistant, volunteering at the local hospital and also organizing fundraisers for a new church where she was the historian. She thoroughly enjoyed being an active member of the senior center, always making knitted objects for shut-ins and servicemen and women.
