Ellen Lewis Belcher STONE MOUNTAIN, GA - Ellen Lewis Belcher, 92, of Stone Mountain ,GA, went home to be with the Lord on December 10,2013. Born in Columbia, SC, Ellen grew up in Pickens and Charleston, SC. She graduated from the College of Charleston. In addition to raising a family, she was a partner in Mary Alexander's Center for Feminine Fitness. After retiring, she moved to Highlands, NC and then to Stone Mountain. Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Louise and John Hinton of Stone Mountain and Nancy and Jim Walker of Boone, NC; three grandchildren: John Hinton of Atlanta, Bo Hinton of Charlotte, and Craig Walker of Greenville, SC; six great-grandchildren: Michael, Lauren, Katherine, Jack, George, and Brookes; and one sister, Jessie Hopkins of Columbia, SC. A memorial service will be held, Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Park Springs Main Community Building, Stone Mountain, GA. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cleft Lip/Palate program of Samaritan's Purse. Condolences may be viewed or sent to www.wagesfuneralhome.com. Tom M.
