Rev. Ella Brown will always be remembered. She was just like a mom to me. Someone who I could always talk too. I think about her all the time when I need someone to talk too. She's gone but never will be forgotten.

With saddness and joy I count it all Joy for your mother was truly a Proverb 31 women. In that word Prov. 31:28 Her children will call her blessed. I have been bless by your mother present in my life. Rev Ella Brown faithful person I really don't think she met a stranger. Her smile, conviction,the annointing was ever present that she loved the Lord and was about her Fathers business. She has went from labor to reward. Thank you for sharing you mother with many for many are call but few of chosen. Proverb 31 also says 31 Give her the reward she has earned,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Rev. Ella Brown was like a grandmother to me from St. Phillip Street to Gordon Street. She always encouraged me as a child growing up in the church and she would give me a token when I would come home to visit while in college. After moving back to Charleston and getting involved in the church she always had a smile and an encouraging word. I know your hearts are sad but know that she is resting in the arms of her Lord at peace. He will see you through this time of sadness for he promised never to leave us alone. We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

I was sadden to read of your loss. I too have loss dear love ones in death. But my true comfort came from above. As 2 Corinthians 1:3 states, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort." This helps us to appreciate that God can help his faithful servants to endure any problem or challenge. Please look to him to bring true comfort at this sad time. I am again sorrow about your loss.

Big Mama is my Spiritual Grandmother whom I loved. She inspired me with her strength of Spirit and prophetic insight. Stefan is my brother who connected Big Mama and I. I will miss her dearly.

I met Mother Brown as a child growing up in Greater ST. Luke A.M.E on St. Phillip Street many years ago, to be quite honest she helped me to become the preacher that I am today. My late Mother Vontell "Dottie" Capers was a member of The Holy Ghost Crusading Prayer Band, we were always in a church service somewhere, as a youngster, I said to myself, why so much church? Little did I know that that helped to establish my foundation along with the St. Luke family,Mother Brown has finished her course, it was time for her to enter into the joy of The Lord and to receive a servants reward, may God forever bless her for the many lives that she touched.

To the Brown Family,

May God's grace and comfort be with you during this time of bereavement. I thank my God for the life of Rev. Ella Brown and for her impact on many young men and women in the Charleston area. Many of us are still standing on the word of God because of her ministry with the Holy Ghost Crusade Prayer Band. Praise God for a true soldier of the cross that has gone home!! Truly, she has left a great spiritual legacy and the changing of the guards has occurred. To God be the glory!!
