Elizabeth Richardson Obituary

Elizabeth Richardson Hanahan - Elizabeth Martin Richardson, 93, died peacefully on Saturday, October 22, 2022 with her family by her side. Known as Betty or Liz to her many friends, Nana to her grands and great-grands, Dibba to nephews and nieces. She was much loved by all who knew her. Born in Savannah, GA on November 22, 1928 to the late AJ Cobb and Margaret Thee Cobb. She is survived her sons, Fred A. Martin, III and Stephen Andrew Martin; grandchildren, Fred A. Martin, IV (Briana) and Sarah Elizabeth Pfister (Jon). She was preceded in death by her husbands, Fred A. Martin, Jr. and Phillip L. Richardson. She worked at Hanahan City Hall as a purchasing agent and started before Hanahan was a city (which was just an incorporated area then) and then did volunteer work for Roper Hospital for ten years. She was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church. A Celebration of Betty's life will take place on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 7:00pm, in the J. Henry Stuhr Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Rd., North Charleston. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00pm until the time of service. Interment will follow on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 1:00pm, in Greenwich Cemetery, 330 Greenwich Rd., Savannah, GA 31404.
