My sympathy for the loss of your mom. She was a wonderful lady and I will always remember the good times we all had at the beach with her, Pauline and Mamie. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family.

Walter, your mother was a dear and kind lady of grace. A one-of-a-kind if you will say. she truly made the world a better place. You and the entire family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Henry, I was so sorry to hear of Mrs. Longs' passing on to glory. I am sure she will be missed by so many as she was such a loving and gracious LADY. My very best to you and your family.

Henry, we are sorry that we could not be with you. Your family has been in our prayers. We were in a catherdal and lit a candle in honor of your mom. She mom was a special person to have raised such fine children.

My memories of Mrs Long are at your house,with your mom sitting and leading the conversations.She was the sun,and everyone else was a planet. If the topic was politics,she had an opinion.If a specific person was being discussed,she would add a comment or roll her eyes to avoid saying what she was thinking. (i've heard Amelia say that was not always the case)We all knew.Shelly called her a "steel magnolia". Strong classy southern
lady .Mrs Long always made me feel welcome and as if she was glad to see me. She really set a great example of how to live your life. Active. Involved. Always a mom!
