Elizabeth Burke Obituary

Elizabeth Burke Summerville - Elizabeth Burke, 79, of Summerville, wife of Eugene Burke, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 11 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home in Summerville. Inurnment will follow at a later date. Elizabeth was born on June 24, 1943, in Lewistown, PA, daughter of the late Thomas and Katharine Mulcahy. She and Gene were blessed with 59 years of marriage. She was a member of the Southington Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce for many years. She was an exceptional seamstress and crafter who could make anything. She was a part of many sewing and quilting clubs. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. An avid reader, she was often found reading multiple novels at the same time. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her husband, she is survived by: children: Mary McKeown (Matthew), Laura Sudock (Chris); grandchildren: Dylan, Sean, and Aron McKeown, Christopher Sudock (Sarah), Jessica Sansone (Matt); great-grandchildren: Quinn and Declan Sudock, and Charlotte Sansone; siblings: Donald Mulcahy (Line) and Katharine Briggs; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Dameon Burke; siblings: Thomas Mulcahy and Eileen Martin.
