Has it already been six years? My how time flies. I grew up with Lisa and she was always a dear friend to me. I.miss her bright smile, her charm, and her wit. I find myself thinking of her often. Lisa was a beacon of hope in this dark world. Mr.
and Mrs. Reynolds, you sure got her middle name right! Hope! Lisa was a friend who I could talk to about anything. No matter what the subject was, she would listen attentively and offer sound advice. Never judgemental or condescending, Lisa gave you her honest thoughts which came from her gigantic heart! Lisa was a very special person, I miss her dearly. I have come to realize lately just how big of an impact Lisa had on my life. This cruel world could use multitudes of money free people like her
It would be a better world. I'm looking forward to seeing Lisa again someday amd giving her a big hug! Love you, Lisa

Alan/Betsy and family - Mike and I are so sorry for this painful loss you are going through. I didn't know Lisa but I cried reading about her. She sounds like a beautiful person and a marvelous teacher just like her mother. Please know that my heart is with you in this most difficult time of your life. Losing a child ( like I just did in April) is a very hard thing to bear. Mike and I are thinking of you!!!

My family and I are just devastated by the loss of this beautiful soul. Lisa was not only a neighbor and co worker, I considered her and her family friends. Dear Rob, Katie, Hannah and your entire family...Ronnie and I both just wanted to let you all know how much Lisa meant to us. From the moment we all we moved in to our tiny neighborhood, seems like our little corner just clicked. Our kids grew up together and we always had such fun at the neighborhood get togethers and parties. I remember the first time I met Lisa at Lee and Diana's first Christmas party...she was beautiful with those big dark eyes, huge smile and always something funny to say. At all our get togethers, she always talked about the class she was teaching at the time and how she loved those kids, and she never failed to ask about my boys and how they were doing. But the one thing she truly loved talking about was her two beautiful, accomplished girls...she was so proud of you. All of her best wonderful qualities will live on through you girls. We love you all and are here for you. Love, Barb and Ron

Lisa was a genuine person and a true friend. We were sorority pledge sisters in college, and she embodied what our sorority stood for: to live constantly above snobbery of word or deed; to place character before appearances; to be lovable rather than popular; to speak kindly; to act sincerely. I am honored to have known her and to have been her friend. I will miss her in my life.

I have been wanting to post on here, but I'm just waiting for someone to call me and tell me this has been just a big mistake. I am struggling!!! I cannot refer to Lisa in past tense. Yes, she has been an AMAZING teacher, but y'all she's one of my BEST friends!!! The word that comes to mind to describe her is ENCOURAGER!!! No matter how bad or good of a day I would have, Lisa ALWAYS found positive in it. Every day at 2:45 I could count on her to walk into my classroom with a big smile on her sweet face. Gene and I went to her house Sunday night to visit her family. I was ready to introduce myself to her family. The first person I saw was her husband, Robert. He hugged me tight and said, Hi Cathy, Lisa loved you As I walked further into her house, her sweet sister, Marty, instantly knew who I was. She also hugged me and said that Lisa loved me. I assumed I would already know who they were because Lisa talked about them constantly, sharing stories with me. But they also knew me!!! Hannah and Katie(her daughter's) hugged me as if they had known me for years. Lisa and her family share a genuine love for people. I am a better person because she has been in my life.
She absolutely loved working at SJCA. At the beginning of the school year I asked her how she liked it. She told me that she was so unbelievably happy!!! She gave 100% of herself to her students and loved them as if they were her own. She loved that she could teach AND share Jesus. I know that my sweet friend is with HIM now. Please Please continue to pray for her family. The world would be such a better place if it had more of Lisa and her family in it. ❤❤

Shocking and sad news and my heart breaks for her family. I remember Lisa as a full-of-life, beautiful girl from an incredible family. Lisa obviously touched many lives since I last saw her. I will always remember her amazing smile. So very sorry for your loss Alan and Betsy and Marty and family. Sending prayers to you all and for Lisa in Heaven.

Once I retired I discussed with Lisa that I might like to do a hike through of the Appalachian Trail. I would joke with her that I didn't think that she could live without me for five months and that she would be calling me all the time wanting me to repair something around the house, take our dogs outside in the middle of the night or to remove a palmetto bug that may have found its way into our home. In other words, I thought I was indispensable and that she wouldn't be able to live without me for such a long period of time. But in this short period of time, I'm figuring out that she is the one that is truly indispensable and I don't know how I'm going to live without her. I will miss your smile, your hugs, your burnt cookies and even your daily twitter updates. I wish you were here now so I that I could tell you that it's been a wonderful 31 years and that you're as beautiful now as you were the first day I saw you. You were my first true love and I just want to hold you and never let you go. I will miss you dearly and will continue loving you until the day I die. May Gods light shine upon you.
Your loving husband and soulmate for life,
Robert.

I was blessed to have Mrs. Anderson as my fourth grade teacher. I then had the pleasure of seeing her at my daughter's events at school. She never forgot me and never went without hugging me. She had an infectious smile and shining light. Her daughters were truly her pride and joy! She was one of my favorite teachers and helped to shape me into the teacher I am today. She will be missed greatly. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. Please know we are mourning this great loss with you.

Lisa was an amazing teacher and wonderfully sweet person! She was no doubt a shining star (and a lot of fun!) during my time at DFE! Besides school/work and the kids, Lisa would always ask me about WVU & Morgantown after I made a trip up- sometimes we joked we'd both end up in WV at the same time. :-) Katie and Hannah- {{{hugs}}} to both you girls, I wish there was something I could do for you. Hugs to my fellow DFE family- I'm sorry I can't be there Friday with you. Fly high Lisa! You are most definitely an angel!

What a pleasure it was to have grown up with Lisa. We had so much fun together in school, cheering, and sleepovers. She was never anything less than genuinely kind to everyone. I've only seen her a couple of times since we graduated, and each time was like time never passed. I'm so sad for her wonderful family. But, I know we will see her again someday. Until then......I will remember her fondly.

Our son, Walker, was blessed to have Mrs. Anderson as his teacher this past year. He truly loved her and he knew she loved him, too. As an educator myself, I and am so thankful that my son was able to have her in his life even if just for a short time. She was truly one of a kind, with an amazing spirit and we will never forget everything she has done for our son. I am so very sorry for your loss and I will continue to pray for your family and all of the families she has touched over the years.

Lisa was one of those girls in high school...one who was so beautiful, and seemed to have it altogether. She was so much fun, and always sweet to her little sister's friends. :) The shock spread throughout her Ravenswood friends as we all heard the news, and everyone agreed: a bright light went out. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Marty, I wish you peace.

A candle burns in my home today for our much-loved friend, Lisa. Though our hearts are heavy we are comforted by the many years of happy memories with her and her wonderful family. To know her, you knew the love she had for her family, ever caring and understanding. You knew her friends, for she spoke of them often. But, best of all, you knew the amazing way she could bring on the sunshine with her contagious smile, it came straight from her heart and she loved sharing it with everyone. She will be missed but forever loved. Our deepest sympathy to those who loved her most. Neil and Kay Rodgers
