Elisabeth Mills Obituary

MILLS, Elisabeth Entered into eternal rest on the evening of April 8, 2005, Elisabeth Stevens Mills, widow of retired U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Ralph E. Mills. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service Monday, at ten o'clock in Blackmer Hall, Bishop Gadsden Retirement Community. Burial will take place 3:30 PM at Hopewell Associate Reformed Presbyterian Churchyard, Blackstock, S.C., near Chester, S.C. Mrs. Mills was born September 13, 1907 in Bridgewater, Vermont, the daughter of Harold Miller and Carrie Amsden Woodruff Stevens. She was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church. She is survived by a son, James Spencer Mills of Valbonne, France; a daughter, Sally Mills Hartsock of Charlotte, N.C.; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Elizabeth was a great friend of my parents and to me, especially when I got my apartment at the Fort Sumter. She was pratical and warm always and I missed her when she moved to Bishop Gadsden. I hope she did not suffer.She was prould of Sally and Jimmy!
