Eleanor Wickersham SUMMERVILLE - Eleanore "Ellie" Wickersham, 89, of Summerville, passed away Friday, July 26, 2024. She was born on November 1, 1934, the daughter of Louis and Carmelita (Good) Rotella, in Niagara Falls, New York. Ellie was an avid reader and loved challenging herself with the daily crossword. A devoted member of Summerville Presbyterian Church, she thoroughly enjoyed her card ministry, always having a large stack of notes by the door to send out to those in need. Ellie enjoyed her many outings and lunches with her girlfriends and, most of all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ellie is survived by her son: Jim (Lisa) Wickersham; daughters: Pam Lanford and Julie (Jeff) Thompson; daughter-in-law: Crystal Wickersham; grandchildren: Jess (Amanda) Wickersham, Shaun (Stephanie) Wickersham, Jake Wickersham, Ethan (Adrienne) Wickersham, Jordan (Drew) Heavner, Seth Lanford, Jason (Kat) Thompson, and Megan (Danny) Da Silva; great-grandchildren: Olivia and Austin Wickersham, Rowan and Johnny Wickersham, and Eleanor and Annaliese Wickersham. Ellie is preceded in death by her husband, John H. Wickersham, Sr. and son, John H. Wickersham, Jr. Ellie was a longtime volunteer with Meals on Wheels.
