Eleanor R. Romansky, 74, of East Stroudsburg, died on Monday morning, March 29, at her home. She was the wife of the late John S. Romansky Sr., who died in 1992.
Born on Nov. 21, 1929 in Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Jennings) Mader.
She was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone for many years and then worked as a cashier at WaWa in East Stroudsburg for several years, retiring in 1998.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Connor of Kingwood, Tex.; two sons, John S. Romansky Jr. of East Stroudsburg and Ronald Romansky of East Stroudsburg; two sisters, Edna Schreck of East Stroudsburg and Mary Hamlen of East Stroudsburg; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and 12 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Wendy; and a sister, Evelyn Long.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 1, from the Thomas Funeral Home, 401 N. Fifth Street, Stroudsburg, with Rev. John Harding officiating. Burial will be in Laurelwood Cemetery.
There will be a viewing from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, at the funeral home.

Cousins, Linda, John,
& Ron, Sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Your Mom and Dad were special people and they always had a way of making you feel loved when you were around them. I have some special memories of them both.
