Elaine Marino Obituary

Elaine Rose Marino Daniel Island - Elaine Rose Marino, 89, of Daniel Island, SC, widow of the late Vincent Edward Marino, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 25, 2022. She was born November 6, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of Anthony and Marie Marinello Lacqua. Elaine attended St. John's University, where she met her husband of 60 years. They were married on November 4, 1956. She and her husband founded Marine Repair Services and Container Maintenance Corporation in 1971. Elaine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to a loving family. She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony V. Marino and her brother, Joseph Lacqua. Elaine is survived by her son, Vincent J. Marino and his wife, Pamela and daughter-in-law, Diana V. Lopez. Surviving grandchildren are Mitchell Burkett, Anthony Marino, Ashleigh Marino, Hastings Witt and Raquel Marino. Great-grandchildren are Mya and Brianna Burkett. She also has an honorary son, Barry Rohrssen and wife, Kerry Parker. She will be missed immensely and eternally by all who knew and loved her. The family will receive friends at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy., on Monday, March 28, 2022, between 5:00 and 7:00 PM. The relatives and friends of Elaine Marino are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 888 King Street, Charleston, SC 29403.
