I was Ed's secretary for many years and am so sorry for your loss. He was such a nice person. It is good to know that in his retirement he was doing what he loved so much! Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

A bright individual with a sweet and gentle spirit...if my memory serves me well, Ed was the first person that answered my call a few days after Christmas in 2007 when I used my very own "handi talkie". Ed was very encouraging and always promoted the use of ham radio for community service. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Ed's 40 years of service to the nation made our country a safer place for all of us. I appreciated my association with him over the years. 73, friend.

I am very thankful that I got to know Ed. His advice was so wise when we formed our ARES group. He will be missed by Alene, teacher of the ham school club and the many children he mentored at Dubois Middle School. He will be missed by his radio friends all over the world and our Dorchester County Amateur Radio Team. My sincere condolences to the family

Remember

Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.
