My prayers and thoughts go with you Sue, and other members of Ed's family. I will not be present to say this in person as there is sickness in our family. Ed and I were friends and part of the family in the NC Community College System since the mid- 1960's. I am thankful we shared years of being presidents and could maintain conversations about our work, especially issues likely understood best by others in the brother and sisterhood of pioneers in our profession. I had no reservations about a call to Ed for clarifications and suggestions related to our work. I will be grateful forever that Ed and George came to my Daddy's funeral. He was that kind of guy.

A true Carolina Gentleman who will be missed by all. It was an honor to have served with Ed at Roanoke-Chowan Tech. He continued to be my mentor when I went to Blue Ridge Community College. He was a great example of servant leadership.

One of the many privileges I have had in live includes working as a community college president in the NCCCS - and working as a colleague with Ed Wilson. He was a pro in every way, always spoke to me, and made sure to ask if things were going well at Robeson CC. I appreciated that. He always represented his college, staff, students, and community well, and I considered him a friend. Mrs. Sue and family, I am sure I join many others in expressing my sympathy in the loss of Ed. May Peace be with you.

Sue,
Amanda and I will never forget the good times we had at conference sites and other times together with you and Ed. Being with Ed was both an enlightening professional experience and an entertaining and warm friendship experience. I am most grateful for both. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

It was a privilege to have known Ed and be so fortunate to learn from him while working in the NC Community College System. He was always patient, didn't laugh too badly at my horrible golf, and I think I am addicted to crossword and sudoku puzzles because of him!
Many prayers for Sue and the family.

Carl Jung suggested that we live our lives as if our actions became universal, the world would be a better place. Dr. Wilson did just that. While in my role at Wayne Community College, he was one of my biggest supporters and a reliable mentor and friend. Having crossed paths with him has been one of my life's greatest blessings. My prayers and support are with his family forever.

I met Ed 27 years ago when I arrived from Ohio to become President of Gaston College. Ed was kind and made me feel welcome immediately. He helped me overcome the many challenges of the NCCCS and was always willing and available to answer questions. He was a leader and mentor to many presidents, and a great role model. He contributed immensely to the State of North Carolina and beyond.
I am sad about his passing, but so proud that I had the privilege of working with him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
