Edward P. Lyons Mt. Pleasant - Edward P. Lyons, 92, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of the late Josephine Mary Tempert Lyons died Wednesday, June 6, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial and interment will be held in Pittsburgh, PA. The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Edward was born November 14, 1925 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, son of John Lyons and Bridgett Houlihan Lyons. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Ed was a member of the Teamsters Union and worked in the construction industry as a roofer. He is survived by son, Gary P. Lyons (Karin) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two daughters, Diann Clark (Dennis) of Goat Island, SC and Karen Lyons of New Freeport, PA; eight grandchildren, Christian Lyons (Karen) of Hilliard, FL, Rebekah Cuda (Dan) of Glassport, PA, Colleen Deihl (Craig) of Davidson, NC, Casey Himel (Audrie) of James Island, SC, Bridgett Donald (Paul) of Texas, Daniel Clark (Amber) of Hudson, WI, Joseph Clark (Joyanna) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Michelle Mathney (Dennis) of Goose Creek, SC; twelve great-grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren and one brother, Joseph Lyons (Sue) of Vermont. He was preceded in death by great-grandson, Cody Lyons. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Light of Life Mission, P.O. Box 6823, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
