Edward McSwain Obituary

MCSWAIN, Edward Chesnee, SC - Edward Crosby McSwain, 75, of 204-3 North Georgia Avenue, Chesnee, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2005, at Magnolia Manor, Spartanburg, SC. Born in Union, SC to the late Dube Carroll McSwain and Ruby Mae Sellar McSwain, he served in the US Army, Navy and the Air Force; was an independent insurance salesman and a member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church. Surviving Mr. McSwain are his wife, Glenda Faye Huckabee McSwain, of the home; a son, Kevin Edward McSwain of Chesnee, SC; two daughters, Regina Lanette McSwain Knight of Monks Corner, SC and Cynthia Anne McSwain Beasley of Dallas, NC; three sisters, Grace McClain of Rock Hill, SC; Olphelia Howell of Charleston, SC; and Thetis McNeese of Miami, FL. Mr. McSwain was predeceased by a son Phillip Rodney McSwain and two sisters, Martha Carolyn McSwain and Annie Mae McSwain McCullough. The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at the Lanford-Dunbar Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2005, in the chapel of the Lanford-Dunbar Funeral Home with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. The family will be at the home.
