I was one of many who had the pleasure of working for Ed as a recruiter during our REDCOM 7 days. He was the best of the best. After he retired we kept in touch for many years. Thanks for the friendship Ed. Georgia, Diana and I are thinking of you and your family and feel your sorrow. God bless you.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Ed's passing. We had the fortune of being his neighbor during his time in Charleston, and he was a pleasure to know. He will be missed, and our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.

I had the pleasure of serving serving with Ed as a recruiter at REDCOM 7 in the mid 1980s. He was one of the best colleages and shipmates that I had the pleasure of serving with during my 23 year navy career. Always generous and ready to assist in my career growth, he gave so much of himself for the betterment of others. He was also such an avid runner...we ran several times together and had many great conversations. He will be missed. Fair winds and following seas Ed....

Uzzie and I were close friends 55 years ago as Seniors at Winyah. We "stared" together in the Senior play, "Best Foot Forward". He was a great guy, always had a smile and very cheerful.I am just sorry that I have not kept up with him through the years. I miss so many of my old classmates.
