Dear Ms. Hanes,
We were so saddened to hear about Mr. Ed's passing. We always laughed at every joke he told, because there was never one that wasn't funny. We loved visiting with him and always looked forward to seeing the both of you. There was something that all of us Remembered, and he would always say "Have a blessed LIFE, and not just a blessed day!" He was so special to us and we will always hold a place in our heart for eternity! WE LOVE YOU MR. ED!! YOU WILL BE MISSED!

Dear Phyllis & Family,
I was so sorry to read about Ed's death.
I know he suffered a lot but you were always there to show him the funny side of each day or was it him that showed you?? Anyway, I have thought of you two so many times but we lost tough. I will always remember you and Ed around First Baptist School. I hope that God will confort you during this time. God needed another angel and he said that he needed a wonderful guy like Ed to help in keeping heaven laughing. Keep your faith strong and God will have his arms around you at all times to help you carry on.
Love and many, many prayers to each one of you , Joyce Young

Phyllis, I am so sorry for your loss. Eddie was in my homeroom in high school, so I saw him every day for 3 years, and always found him to be a really nice guy, and YES! he was a cheerleader when cuteness and personality won guys that position. As an adult, his life was certainly well spent, and I know he will be missed by all his family and friends in Charleston. My condolences. -Peggy Chesnut White

Eddie was a fine Christian man who was an inspiration to all. We were first cousins and had many good times growing up together. In recent years, we have enjoyed many phone conversations remembering the good times had together. He will be missed, but we know he is not suffering anymore.
Love and prayers to all the family,
Jackie Hanes Jameson
