Edward Chester Delk Hanahan - Edward Chester Delk, 72, of Hanahan, SC, husband of Brenda Joy Miller Delk, died Friday, September 10, 2021. His Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 13, 2021 at 1:00PM in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Rd., North Charleston. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors to follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Chester was born February 22, 1947 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Edward Boyd Delk and Jacqueline Strock Delk. Chester served six years in the US Navy and was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. He is survived by two sons, Ryan Chester Delk of Summerville and Craig Lee (Chrissy) Delk of Charleston; two grandchildren, Kendall Morgan Delk and Cohen Lee Delk both of Charleston; sister, Tina Delk (David) Matthews of Charleston; sister-in-law, Vicki (Rick) Rabon of Salem, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters-in-law, Nina Hawkins and Dianne Miller. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1444 Remount Road, North Charleston SC 29406 and/or American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC, 29406.
