Edith Marie Harden Tuten POOLER, GA - Mrs. Edith Marie Harden Tuten, 98, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016 at The Place at Pooler. She was born in Savannah to the late Henry & Nina Cobb Harden. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Francis Ingram Tuten. She lived in Charleston, SC most of her life before moving to Pooler in 1994. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Charleston, and also attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Pooler. She loved animals and took care of several cats. She attended Stokes Business College. Survivors include her sister, Sadie H. Belt; two sisters-in-law, Mary Harden, and Thelma Tuten; as well as several nieces and nephews. The visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, February 28th, 2016 at the funeral home. The graveside funeral and burial will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 29th, 2016 at Sandy Run Cemetery, located on Hwy 63 near Varnville, SC. Remembrances may be given to First Christian Church, 1293 Orange Grove Road, Charleston, SC 29407, or to Trinity United Methodist Church, 320 Benton Drive, Pooler, GA 31322.
