Edith Lucille Bell Reid WEST ASHLEY - Mrs. Edith Lucille Bell Reid, 91, of West Ashley, Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. There will be a public viewing on Monday, July 4, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00p.m. at the funeral home. Her Home Going Celebration will be on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, 11:00a.m. at St. Matthew Baptist Church, 2005 Reynolds Avenue, North Charleston, SC, the viewing will begin at 10:00a.m. Saturday at the church. Interment: Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers, North Charleston, SC. The family and the church is requesting that those attending please wear your mask and use social distancing because COVID-19 is still with us. She is the widow of Deacon Luther Reid, Sr., the mother of the late (Barbara Reid Batts) (Eddie) and Luther Reid, Jr. (Sandra), Marilyn Reid Mitchell and Robert F. Reid (Laureen), sister of Richard Arthur Gordon (Thelma). She also leaves and a host of other relatives and friends.
