Edith Lentz Obituary

Edith Lentz LADSON, SC - Edith Stradtman Lentz, 91, of Ladson, SC, widow of John Harold Lentz, Sr., died Thursday, April 21, 2011, peacefully at home. Born February 24, 1920, in Charleston, SC, she was one of five children of Frederick William Stradtman and Lula Brownlee Stradtman. She was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Goose Creek. Mrs. Lentz is survived by three sons: John Harold Lentz, Jr and his wife Betty of Goose Creek, SC, Wyman C. Lentz and his wife JoAnne of Ladson, SC and Frederick W. Lentz and his wife Linda of Charleston, SC; brothers, David Stradtman of Brunswick, GA, Frederick W. Stradtman, Jr. of St. Simon, GA and John Stradtman of OH; sisters, Sarah S. Francis of Sandusky, OH and Berta S. McPipkin of Jessup, GA; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her only granddaughter, Heidel Lentz. The funeral service will be held in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel Monday, April 25, 2011, between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Timothy Lutheran Church Building Fund, 200 S.
